How PlayTribe handles your data

2) Information we collect

• Account data: first & last name, date of birth (for 18+ verification), email, state/UT, username, hashed password.
• Practice data: text-only “lineups” you create (names, roles, counts, notes).
• Technical basics: server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps, URLs) for security/diagnostics.
• Support messages: details you send via the Contact page or email.

We do not collect or process payment data; the platform is non-transactional.

3) Storage model

We store user and practice data as JSON inside .txt files on our server directories (e.g., /data/users/<username>.txt, /data/teams/<username>/*.txt). Passwords are stored using a one-way hash (bcrypt or similar).

4) How we use information

• Provide and maintain the learning features (account, builder, leaderboard view).
• Security, fraud prevention, and diagnostics (reviewing server logs when needed).
• Support and communication (responding to your requests).
• Legal compliance and enforcement of our Terms.

5) Cookies & local storage

We use minimal, essential cookies/session storage for login and security. We do not use cookies for payments or monetary features. Third-party links or embedded services (if any) may set their own cookies—refer to their policies.

6) Third-party links & ads

Our pages may include external links or advertisements. We don’t control third-party sites or their data practices. Visiting them is at your discretion and subject to their privacy policies and terms.

7) When we share information

• Service providers: limited access to the extent necessary to operate, secure, or support the site.
• Legal: to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business changes: in case of merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, consistent with this Policy.

We do not sell users’ personal data.

8) Data retention

We keep account and practice data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion as described below.

9) Your choices & rights

• Access/Update: review and update basic details from your Profile.
• Export: view/export your stored JSON (see Profile “Export my data”).
• Deletion: request deletion via the Contact page or email.
• Opt-out of communications: unsubscribe or contact support.

10) Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to our educational, non-transactional platform (hashed passwords, access controls, server logging). No system is 100% secure; please protect your credentials.

11) Children

The site is for adults 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12) Region access

Availability may vary by region and is currently restricted in certain Indian states/UTs. See Region Access for details.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect operational or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be indicated on this page.
